At the age of four, he started training Japanese Jitsu which is an art form of martial art. He got a black belt in this form. He started his career since 2013 onwards. Before that, he was a martial art trainee. He won his first battle against Charlie Ngaheu in Eternal MMA 3 at Friday night fight on Sep 27, 2013. He also won Australian Fighting Championship 17 through rear-naked choke against Kiwi Steven in 2013. This brought him a great opportunity to start up his career when formal President of UFC Dana White called himself to fight at UFC fight night. 

After that, he debuts his career as a professional as well as promotional against Khalil Rountree and won this match. This match was held on Nov 15, 2016, at UFC fight night: Whittaker vs. Brunson. From that battle he was rewarded with Performance of the Night bonus. Again he fought against Paul Craig and won that match on March 04, 2017, at UFC 209. He won that match by decision of TKO. 

But he didn’t know that he was going to lose his next fight on 9 Sep 2017. He fought against Ilir Latifi and lost by unanimous decision. He won his next fight via submission due to a kimura on 11 Feb 2018. He was against of Saparbek Safarov. Again he faced Ovince Saint Preux and lost the fight because of submission. It was on 23 June 2018. Then he signed a six-fight contract with UFC on Aug 10 2018.

Then after that, he faced Mauricio Rua (Dec 2, 2018) and lost the game due to leg injury. Kangaroo Paws nicknamed Tyson took rest in 2019 and had reconstruction surgery. Now he was planning to come back in MMA with all the forces that were stored on 2019 on 20 Feb 2020.  But because he has not recovered yet from that injury he might reschedule for other time fights.
