Scott career took hill up in 2009. He began as MMA fighter in same year. Before he start UFC league, he was champion of fight club called Xtreme fighting championship. He won two titles of this championship. He fought on official amateur on 2010 to 2011. He won fight against Preston Johnson (01-30-2010), Tyler Wilson (01-08-2011), Itai Tirado (04-29-2011) and Charlie Alexander (06-25-2011).
After that he started his career in XFC from 2012 where he won three matches against Brandon Demates (02-10-2012), Matt Metts (06-22-2012) and Chris Coggins (09-28-2012). But he got fame when he won his fight against Jason Hicks by unanimous decision on Feb 22, 2013. Therefore he won AXS TV fighter of the year. Then he got ready to fight with XFC lightweight champion, Nick Newell whereas he refused to fight against holtzman. So he got paired up with John Mahlow. On 2013, June 14 he defeated John and won the title of XFC light weight championship. He won another title XFC 26: Night of Champions III by defeating Roger Carroll by unanimous decision on Oct 18, 2013. Again he won title of premier Fighting Championship (PFC) 9: unstoppable by defeating George Sheppard.
On 14, August, 2014 he signed a four-fight deal with UFC and debut on August 8, 2015 at UFC fight night against Anthony Christodoulou and won by one-sided fight through submission. Nut he lost his next fight with unanimous decision against Drew Dober on Jan 02, 2016. Similarly he won his fight against Cody Pfister on July 13, 2016 and Michael Mcbride on April 22 2017. He lost game on Dec 17, 2016 where he faced Josh Emmett. On 2018 January 25 he signed new four-fight deal with UFC.
On Oct 6, 2018 he won Knockout against Alan Patrick. And he faced Nik Lentz but lost fight on Feb 17, 2019. He won next fight by TKO decision on August 03, 2019. He was facing Dong Hyun Ma. His latest fight was against Jim Miller on Fen 15 2020 at UFC. And he won this fight.
