Naomi Osaka was born in Chou-Ku, Japan. Her father’s name was Leonard Francois and her mother’s name was Tamaki Osaka. Her father was from Haiti and her mother was from Naomi, Hokkaido. Regarding siblings, she has an older sister named Mari. Both of the sisters use their mother’s surname since they were staying in Japan. Osaka and her family moved to Esmont, New York when she was just 3 years old. Immediately after going to New York, her father decided the daughters to learn tennis. Naomi started learning tennis when she was just 3 years old.

After 3 years she wanted to train professionally so Naomi along with her family moved to Florida. Regarding education, she was homeschooled for her to train properly so she joined many academies such as ISP Academy, Harold Solomon Training Academy, and also ProWorld Academy as well.
