He started his career when his father took him to the branch office of Flamengo in the neighborhood of Mutua which is located in Sao Goncalo where he lived. Vinícius Júnior was later signed in the famous and popular Spanish club named “Real Madrid” on 23 May 2017. He was signed for a reported fee of 46 Million Euro which was at the time, the second most expensive sale of a player in the history of Brazilian football. He was originally scheduled to return to Brazil on loan in July 2018. Real Madrid officially announced Vinícius Júnior as a Real Madrid player on 20 July 2018. He was also issued squad number 28. Vinícius Júnior made his first debut playing as a substitute in the 87 minutes in a goalless draw against “Atletico Madrid” on 29 September 2018. He also became the first ever Madrid senior player to be born in the year 2000. He made his first start against Melilla on 31 October in a 4-0 Copa del Rey victory. He scored four goals between his debut on 29 September 2018 and 7 february 2019. He scored his first debut match in a 2-0 victory on 1 March 2020 for Real Madrid against “FC Barcelona” Vinícius Júnior made 29 appearances during the league season, while scoring three goals as Real Madrid won the 2019-20 La Liga. 

International Career: 

Vinícius Júnior started his international career when he was called up for Brazil by the coach named “Guilherme Dalla Dea” for the South America U-15 Championship on 30 October 2015. Vinícius Júnior was the second top scorer of the tournament with 6 goals and also won in the under-15 title. He played a friendly match against Chile on 24 June 2016 and also scored two goals and provided two assists in the 4-2 win. Vinícius Júnior played his first Brazilian national team match for a friendly match against Panama and the Czech Republic on 28 February 2019. On 10 September 2019, he made his first senior international debut as a 72 minute substitute in Brazil’s 1-0 defeat to Peru.
