Jake Forster started his club career joining Brighton’s youth team in 2007. He was also offered a scholarship deal with Brighton and Hove Albion on 30 April 2010. It was later revealed that he rejected the offer form the famous and popular club such as “Arsenal” and “Aston Villa” before signing with Brighton. He was named as a substitute for Brighton’s final game of the 2009-10 season against “Yeovil Town”. He also became the youngest player to feature in the Brighton first team when he made his debut as a substitute in the 76 minute during the match. Later, he signed a six-month loan deal with the league Two club named “Oxford United” in July 2012. He played his first match for the club and scored on his debut match in a 2-0 win over Bristol Rovers. Jake Forster scored his second goal on 8 September in a  4-2 loss at home to Exeter City. He was later transferred to the Championship side named “Milton Keynes Dons” on an initial five week emergency loan deal on 22 September 2015. He played his first debut match for the club in the 1-3 home loss against “Derby County” on 26 September 2015. 

He was again transferred to the club on loan for the remainder of the 2015-16 season on 8 January 2016. He scored his first goal for the club in a 0-1 away win against “Derby County” on 13 February 2016. Later, he signed a contract with Rotherham United” on 20 July 2016 on a season long loan deal. He made only seven appearances for the Millers before the deal was mutually terminated by Rotherham and parent club Brighton on 5 January 2017. Later, Jake Forster joined Charlton Athletic by signing a 2 and half year contract on 5 January 2017. During the 2018-19 season, he was out of the squad for most with an anterior cruciate knee ligament injury. He was also offered a new contract by Charlton at the end of the 2018-19 season. He signed a new one year contract in June 2019. 

International Career: 

Jake Forster started his international journey by representing England under 16, under 17, under 18 and under 20 national sides. He was also announced in the 18 man squad to represent England at the 2011 UEFA European under 17 Football Championship during April 2011 in Serbia. He played 3 matches in the tournament for England before they were defeated 1-0 by Holland in the semi-final. He was also selected to represent England under 17 at the 2011 FIFA under 17 World Cup in Mexico. He has also played for England under 18 national side for a friendly against Slovakia during October 2011. He was also named in the initial 35 man squad for the 2013 FIFA under 20 World Cup on 17 May 2013.
