Virat Kohli (born November 5, 1999) is a popular cricketer and sportsperson from India. He is regarded as one of the best cricketers in the world. Kohli is also the captain of the Indian Cricket Team and Royal Challengers Banglore of the Indian Premier League. Virat was also on the news after his relationship with popular Bollywood Actress Anushka Sharma. However, the couple has been already married and also has one daughter Vamika Kohli. Earlier in his career, he was often criticized for being only able to play in ODI but within 2013 he was one of the best batsmen in any format of the game. When he was just 19 years old, he led Indian U19 to World Cup Victory in 2008. After impressing on Under 19, he was bought by Royal Challengers Banglore as the youngest member of the team for $30,000.

Virat Kohli’s debut as a senior cricketer came in 2008 when he opened against Srilanka as both Virender Sehwag and Sachin Tendulkar were injured. He started performing brilliantly from 2009 where he scored his first 50 as he became the man of the match against West Indies for his 79. Kohli scored his first century against Srilanka in the ICC Champions Trophy as he scored 107. In 2011, he scored his first World cup 100 against Bangladesh becoming the first Indian batsman to score on his debut world cup game. He was establishing himself to be the best batsman in all formats of cricket as he led India to the semifinals in the 2016 T-20 world cup becoming the second-best batsman coming behind Steven Smith.

Virat Kohli left the position of Indian captaincy in 2021 despite the good tenure and becoming no 1 team in ODI and Test, India did not win any trophies under his captaincy.
